Sacred Mountain – a post apocalyptic novel

An avid reader, I have an eclectic collection of books on my shelf.  Romance, comedy, thrillers, young adult books…there aren’t many genres I won’t read.

Sacred Mountain, the first in a series of books (Book 1 in the Moreno Series) by Paige Robbins is an action packed post apocalyptic romance that will keep you guessing.  It addresses the issue of life in an “off grid” situation.  Imagine for yourself the complete collapse of a nation.  No means of communication.  Life as you know it no longer exists.  How would you survive?  Who would be in your innermost “circle”?

In a pSacred Mountainost war climate in a nation torn by war, Sissy Moreno fights another battle, with an old flame. Paige Robbins does an excellent job fleshing out her characters and developing an intriguing storyline. From the first page, the reader is drawn into a world of survival and preparation, with cops who aren’t always good, and heroes in unexpected places.

Paige Robbins shows a keen eye toward potential social situations with an awareness of off grid living. It’s evident she’s done her research well as she draws a picture of self-sufficiency and sustainability where each of her characters has a position to fill. I’m looking forward to reading more by this author and have saved her as a favorite so I will know when the sequel to this book is released.
